DaveQ: I see they're "offically" released...
Still nothing on VF's website which is a bit dissappointing..

Oh, and note the Telecom and 2 Degrees within a couple of weeks....

Vodafone have completely dropped the ball on this – but speaking to the person at JB’s who sold me mine about the lack of press on the SGSII, she said Vodafone NZ are completely Apple-centric about high-end devices, which makes sense:  Apple is the premium provider for VFNZ, and Android is the low-to-mid entry for people wanting a smartphone; complete nonsense of course, but that’s inline with how Apple sees itself, and how it differentiates it’s products from Android ones.

Then VF don't deserve our business. Time to spread the word I think.

Yeah definitely asking myself that. Price just seems too good for such a new device. Might keep away from these guys.

Same story about the iPhone 3GS though, it didn't support VF's 900Mhz network so fell back to GSM outside the main centres when 2100Mhz was out of range.

Wouldn't surprise me if the iPhone is the main reason VF is making a healthy profit for the past couple of years. It's a major coup for them.

Has anybody else seen that you can't compare the iPhone against other phones? It's in a separate section of the site to the rest of the phones.

I wonder if this was done on purpose to stop people seeing that there are other (cheaper) phones available that do the same things...
