Hey all,

Today I bought a netbook with dual boot Windows 7 and Android.
http://www.dse.co.nz/dse.shop/4d8d8d160405f2482740c0a87f3b0681/Product/View/XC7795?utm_source=home&utm_medium=internallink&utm_content=content&utm_campaign=HOT

Im wanting to know how to either update the currently installed android OS (im not sure what version its currently running) or install a custom ROM (Something either based on Honeycomb or the HTC Flyer ROM with HTC Sense) as I cant even access the Android Market at the moment?

Thanks

There's no Market on it because it didn't meet Google's compatibility requirements so Google wouldn't license it. You might look on slatedroid.com for ways to hack Market onto tablets that don't have Market.

Modifying custom ROMs from other platforms is out as they're completely different CPUs (most are ARM, this is Intel Atom). Honeycomb is definitely out as Google say they won't release the source for it (boo!).

You could try and download the Android Market APK from here - http://android.modaco.com/content/software/325980/new-style-market-apk-downloads/ and run it on your netbook whilst on Android boot. If unsure as to whether it works for netbook, Ask them on Modaco. Can't see why it wouldn't work but worth asking.
