bodysoda: Anyone has tried any of the mobile Broadband Stick to work with A500?

Wont work, at the very least until full USB host support is on the A500, and then it will most likely need drivers written for it.  If you want mobile broadband, get the 3g version (available soon?)

nomiss7: Or wireless hotspot off your smartphone :-)

Thank you. Sound great.

Another question, is there way I can share my internet connection on PC via A500 where there is no wifi available? Like USB tether?

Edit: I found the solution at

Kickass: Looks like Noel Leeming have a range of accessories on their web site now..

Thanks for the link.

Does anyone know the difference between the "Portfolio Case" and the "Protective Case - Folds to Stand"

The acer site only talks about a single case:

Which I assume to be the "Protective case" as it folds into a stand. However, other sites talk about this as being the portfolio case.

Does anyone have a link to a better soure  of accessories with pictures. My searching gave no definitive answer.

Mine arrived this afternoon from Mobicity, according to the tracking it came from AUS not HK as I was told [Ordered Monday] No freebies but at $170 less than JB was selling them for downstairs I am not complaining. [$778 for the 32GB version v $948]

Could have received another $10 off through Mobicity's "$20 off - share this deal" offer.
Will have a play over the weekend and comment if I feel there is anything of note that is annoying or awesome.

So far...God it's lovely. Except they included a UK adapter only for the power plug? Just as well I have an adapter and a UK powerstrip at home.
The folks at work were bug eyed with envy except the oldies who still had to be told what it was and then convinced as to why I needed one when I had the same thing on my phone. Because that is just the same.

Multi-touch works great for me. Maybe the connection you had was a bit slow and the page was still trying to load?

No problems here. Pinch-zoom works well without any noticeable lag.

I really like the thumb controls in the stock browser once enabled from the labs section of the settings.
removes the toolbar, replacing it with a popup semi-circular jog-menu when I slide my thumb in from either edge. Gives you a slightly bigger view.

Harvey Norman have a 25% off Acer computers this weekend, so I thought great time to pull the trigger and go and pick up the Iconia 16GB for 600 bucks ( or even the 32GB for $712.50).  However their sale excludes the tablets and not only that but they had jacked their ticket prices to $899 (16) and $999 (32).  Sale fail I'm afraid.

Still waiting for the official update...but it seems it is rolling out all over the world. According to Acer Germany, they are staggering the update to prevent server overload.

From watching a few forums this morning, I dont see anyone other than USA reporting it and a lot of people are getting the 1.141.07 patch update that Acer withdrew a few weeks ago and not the 3.1 update. It has been suggested that it is needed before you can update to 3.1 but I dont think it was released outside of USA.
However, I recall seeing another post that said Acer had withdrawn the patch to incorporate into one update instead of two so who knows whats happening.

I have the 1.141.07 patch - it was available for me here in NZ. I did purchase my Iconia in the US though, so possible that has something to do with it.

Love the tablet, but it seems to suffer when wifi is at a distance...drives me mad. Hope that the 3.1 improves wifi. Have heard there may have been a 'bad batch' with wifi issues, but returning this to Best Buy isn't really an option now! :-)
