There are rumours circling the web that Samsung are going to lock their bootloader. Not cool. That would be bye bye root and custom ROM's.

I wonder why they are going the opposite direction to SE when they annouced that they are unlocking bootloader on their Xperia range of Droids.

Really? The only rumours I can find are that they are NOT going to lock the bootloaders... which they don't anyway (at least as far as the SGS is concerned). Have they locked bootloaders on any other devices?

Nothing locked yet, just a rumour. But it's a big topic as you'd expect on XDA.
