CdTDroiD: Seems alot of you prefer the DlevROM, is that just because its 2.3.4 not 2.3.5?

As below, it's on 2.3.5

[ROM][2.3.5][KI4] DlevROM2 Version 3.1: Bug Spray Edition

That's what I'm running at the moment. Very smooth

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2
- Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free'
- What's next??? S3?

I'm using SensatioN ROM, I really love the dialer on it and a few other things, but might change as I have a few issues, mainly the clock app crashes and I can't seem to get the stock touchwiz clock and weather widgets back on there. Also it wiped my home screens which was lame.

Wow - that's pretty epic!  How much screen time?  And what kernel/ROM are you running?

Impressive! Can you show the other screen which shows the breakdown of the app usage?

^^ This is a reflection of my normal usage. On XXKH3 Litening, it would struggle past 1 days rarely touch 2 days+ and of late, I would have to charge every night.

Not after I switched to 2.3.5 with Check ROM revolution 3.1.1. As usual, no messing with CPU speeds at all, using ninphetamine 2.0.5 kernel and XXKG5 base band.

Removed apps that were causing wake locks (frozen or else not being used anymore). Main culprits were a couple of widgets pooling to get weather info and location, widget locker was the dreaded one, and alarm clock extreme. This with mixed 3G data, use only when needed basically otherwise switched off, lowest brightness setting. roughly 40 mins on the phone, some TXT message activity - about 100 sent/recd total, (very) little wifi & GPS, 2 hrs + of display ON time. Note this is how I have always been using the phone but 2.3.4 gave me 2 days at most, 2.3.5 has more than doubled it.

Screen shots will be posted later...

kiwitrc: Anyone know how to enable logging on the S2? Trying to help debug an app but it seems logging doesnt work.

It depends on the kernel you're using. Some disable logging by default, but provide a way to turn it on.

Here's how to do it for the SpeedMod kernel. I think that several other kernels use the same method.
[HOW TO ENABLE LOGCAT]

If you are a developer or want to re-enable logcat for whatever reason, do this:

adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
echo ANDROIDLOGGER >> /system/etc/tweaks.conf
mount -o remount,ro /system

Reboot and you should have it enabled.

Thanks for that, didnt seem to work, so a bit more research (I am on Sitah 2.2) and was told on XDA that I need to use enablelogger.zip which seems to have done the trick.

Just flashed XXKI4 and rooted a mate's I9100T, and was wondering what modem you guys on Telecom find to be the best for battery life/reception etc?  KG5 is still the best on VF, so it's probably where I'll start, but keen to hear which other ones are good?

I'm using I9100TDOKG2 (on my uk-sourced I9100). I'd previously used KG5, but notice very little difference. I no longer care about battery life, I have two batteries and a desktop battery charger so just swap when they get low...
