You can find a lot of firmwares at sammobile...

NOTE: to get the Telecom firmware, you'll probably have to select model as GT-i9100T

Apparently, according to the stuff I've found on google/XDA, the T version has some special filter in it to make it more suited to the 850 band used by Telecom... whether or not this is actually true I don't know... all I know is that my T model phone works better with a T model modem in it...

Not sure if the T modems work that well on non-T phones...

Also, if you're just after a modem... try here: http://veyka.co.uk/sgs2/radios/

A whole bunch for you to choose from... and if that is not enough.. try the links in the first 5 posts from this thread at XDA

Have fun!

ps.  Fairly sure the DOLP7 firmware (June 2012) uses the DOLP4 modem... as this is what I have... but again, not sure it T modems will work that well on non-T phones...

Modems (at least with the SGS2) don't have any specific ties to firmware versions. You should be able to use the DOLP7/4 modem with either Gingerbread or ICS firmware (or even the CM10 JB previews).

Speaking of CM10, I've been running the nightly builds for a couple of months and it's fairly stable. The devs have fixed the worst of the issues, and unless you use headphones it's pretty much good enough for a daily driver.

That voicemail issue has existed since ICS was released, you can no longer dismiss voicemail notifications like you could on GB.

The only option is to delete the message.

I've been using CM10 since late July as well and it has just gone from strength to strength. I don't really have any issues with headphones (or earbuds in my case), but only ever use one at a time and keep the volume pretty low.
Check out CyanDelta on the market, a delta style updater for CM roms. It reduces 150mb roms down to a update of only 7-15mb. It also notifies you when there is an update available and can be configured to flash multiple zip files after the rom has been flashed.

Hi All

I have a I9100T running stock ICS and I want to update it to a JB ROM.

I am trying to find out if there are any precautions or warnings regarding the T suffix? i.e. does the telecom specific model cause any problems? are there ROM's that should be avoided?

Any suggested ROM's would be appreciated too. I have been looking at resurrection remix. Any reviews or other suggestions?

Cheers

The only "issue" I've had with the T-model was the modem... I found I had to use a T-model specific modem or the mobile data reception would jump all over the place between Edge/3G/HSPDA...

And the actual phone reception would drop out as well...

This wasn't ROM/kernel specific... And happened at various places, so wasn't location specific either...

Once I flashed the T-model modem back on, the reception improved immediately...

I extracted the modem from the latest official TelecomNZ ROM (rom DOLP7, modem I9100TDOLP4) and just flash it over any ROM that resets my modem...

Other than the modem issue, i haven't really had any issues with any rom and/or kernel...

Currently, running my own "kang" of SlimBean 2.8.0, with DorimanX 7.6 kernel...

I have the T model and haven't seen any signal jumping like HardCorePawn. But saying that I do always end up after a few days flashing the DOLP4 just to be safe.
RR is a great rom and so is Slimbean. I find that the RR is easier to install
And if you use Slimbean do use DorimanX I found battery live better with DorimanX than other kernals. Might be the same with RR cant say for sure as I did only use DorimanX with it

if you have time would you like to compare DOLP4 and XXKI4 and XXLP6? i find that these are the 3 best modems for telecom on the T model but not sure which one is best ...

Hi All,

I am having issues with my phone receiving MMS messages. I have been sent some picture messages and it will not download them. It use to do a preview of the picture before I could download it.

Recently though I have put the below in on my phone.

Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100
Android Version:4.0.4
Build: SensatioN 4.1
Kernal - Siyah 4.1.5+

I did do a check doing *#1234# to show what version you are running and it say my CSC is I9100XEULPA I believe that is a Europe CSC code, I need a New Zealand one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

What network? If you're on Skinny get used to it, mms is not currently supported but will be enabled soon.
Edit: for some reason the rom details didn't show when I first saw it. You need to check your APN settings, you're probably missing the mms one.
