I'm interested to hear too as the Asus has some very good reviews.

I'm a bit suspicious of these guys - they're the only retailer on price spy that has the Asus....and it's out of stock / "on order".

However, I think I'll be going for the Acer Iconia A500 instead - it's $100 cheaper and there are a lot of retailers stocking them.

I inquired about these and just a heads up - they ship them directly to you from Hong Kong or wherever, however claim that GST is included - clearly it isn't, they just avoid it (or try to) at Customs.

You're pretty much on the money there :)

1NZD = 6.36HKD

NZD594.30 for the pad and NZD751.60 with the keyboard dock.

If I was in HKG, I would definitely have picked one up for that price.

It is not a bad price from Top 10 if you consider the Australian prices ($599 AUD and $799 AUD with a dock).

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I just went to http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004U78J1G, bought from Amazon Exports. Cost $631 NZD including Priority Courier. Now just need to find a dock. Ordered today, should arrive on the 6th.

Oh yeah, including GST (since Amazon pre-charges you it, and gives that money to the courier).

Which shipper did you use? Can't find Amazon Exports as a shipper.

Keep an eye out, there's also the 32GB one for $499USD. I'm now just watching out for the dock for around $150USD instead of the $270USD~ it's currently going for.

Why would you go for a A500 when they're $170 more expensive? Probably more importantly, why would you shop locally when we live in a truly international world where ordering in the US is as easy or easier than ordering locally?

Yeah. I have been using Amazon for stuff for a while. The availability of the Asus has been the problem. It also has a worldwide warranty so no difference between buying it here and the US.

Just got one from Amazon for $399 US.

Did you find a dock? They look almost as hard to find as the tablet itself.
