I know that the Transformer 2 is going to have the Tegra 3, I'm saying it won't be coming soon as they keep delaying.

I am putting my money on the Transformer being available by the end of the year. You can "smell" a refresh coming by all these sales on the current gen of Transformers.

I dont think I can waiting until tf2 release.

And I read that it will be more expensive than original price of tf1.

I have to buy new laptop as well coz I'm leaving home soooon lol

So where is the cheapest store so far?

It seems like dicksmith was, but I think da special offer not avaliable anymore

This is what I hate about the electronics market!

I wanted a Transformer for work (and home). I need 3G but the 3G model isn't out yet (maybe it is now - but I stopped looking) by the time the 3G one is available, I may as well wait for the TF2.

Problem is - the TF2 will probably have the same staggered release = non 3G released.... large delay.......3G released.

The price premium is another annoyance. Why can I buy a Vodem for $50ish - which has all the technology required for 3G mobile broadband but it costs hundreds extra to have it in a tablet?

My solution = I bought a Toshiba AT100 (aka Thrive) ($649) and a Wifi hotspot adapter ($149) for my vodem ($50)

If the staggered release is a marketing ploy to encourage people to upgrade their non-3G model when released - It doesn't work!
I bought the competitors product (mainly because it was cheap) later on i'll upgrade to whichever is most suitable at the time.

There is a new firmware update out for those who are interested.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Haven't had a decent play yet but browser seems smoother and there is a new app called supertext I think which is pretty cool. It is not in front of me at the moment.

Just got the update, havent had a good play with it but the supernote app looks very, very slick. I've tried (and paid for) similar apps but this looks to be the best. Only missing feature is to be able to export a whole notebook as PDF.

Sounds good I might have to flash back to stock if that's possible. I'm on Android Revolution HD at the moment

I don't seem to be able to get the update. I go into settings, check for firmware update, but nothing. I'm still on Android 3.2 (not 3.2.1).

Hmmm... weird.

They do tend to stage to roll out, seems to be based on serial number. Other option could be if you are rooted it may not work??

I'd give it another 24 hours, if nothing then try contacting ASUS support. Ive actually found their UK facebook page is also sometimes the best way to get in touch... just dont tell them your in NZ :)

No hurry, it works fine, it'll turn up eventually.
