The swipe to close works on the "programs open" options key on the left hand side (the key that brings up a list of recently used programs). You can swipe those to close them. Not sure about the notifications one yet.

I have found an ICS feature that I am going to find very useful.

Prior to today I could not connect my TF101 to my mobile phone using Bluetooth.  I could connect using wifi but the battery drain was quite high.

However this issue has not been resolved!  I can now connect to my mobile via Bluetooth and browse the web and view maps.

Thank-you ICS!

timmmay: I did notice the lack of the cross/close icon on notifications from the system tray, do you just swipe left to right to dismiss them?

Swipe to the left to dismiss.

Struck my first problem though, Zinio is broken, so I can't access my magazines :(

Looks like the dodgy wifi is still here - with mine anyway. Love that swipe to close though!

Try doing a manual update from the market (wasn't flagged in my apps list, but if you search for Zinio it shows an update available).  Still comes up with an error message on startup, but at least it doesn't crash to desktop.

Thanks KevinL, just popped back to this forum to post an update. I had just updated zinio and all is good again. It doesn't crash and works as before. Guess I better go through all my most used apps and make sure I don't need to do the same. So far Zinio was the first problem I struck, it's funny it didn't offer up a market update automatically.

Not long after I did my ICS update, the market place offered me about 5 updates.

Yep me too, just none were Zinio, even after a reboot. Might just trawl through the 'my apps' page to see if any others pop up.

The keyboard response alone makes the update worthwhile. No face unlock with this update?

As has been the case with past updates, I could not update while rooted.  I use OTA Rootkeeper but it just never works for me. I must be doing something wrong :(

So as per usual I had to do a nvflash and then update through all the updates one at a time.  I'm on ICS so that's where I wanted to be, but now I've got to re-root the pad.  However the instructions I've used in the past state it's for Honeycomb.  Does anyone know if it'll work for ICS, or has anyone got another method to rooting that they've successfully used? Thanks

Sorry cant help with the alternative rooting methods. May need to wait for clever folks like XDA to find an exploit, but as you are a long time Android contributor I'm sure you're aware of that.
But just to confirm for anyone else following this thread. My TF was on 3.2.1 rev21 rooted but with the stock recovery. Using Voodoo OTA rootkeeper I backed up the root, unrooted the TF and then applied the OTA ICS update. After the successful update, I reapplied the root using Voodoo.

Well got my cake and eating it.  It's taken all day to do a whole bunch of trial and error, research and more nvflashes than I want to admit to.

The problem it seems is not with OTA Rootkeeper, but with CWM.  From what I've read CWM breaks OTA, and maybe I'm just slow in reading/learning that and it's not at all news to anyone else.

However I've managed to keep CWM, root and have ICS.  In the end I changed to a different CWM but that might not have anything to do with it.

I used this method of applying ICS via CWM.  You need to be rooted, and have CWM.

Everything I requested be restored in TB has restored fine.  Now time to set up my homescreens again. I keep forgetting anything in the /sdcard gets wiped. I had at least copied my TB folder onto my external SD but had forgotten about the launcher file.

Happy days.

Glad you got it sorted. What is the advantage on a having root on the TF? I rooted my Ideos and can understand why I need to as I am running custom ROMs on the X5. The only time I needed to root the TF was to support peer to peer wifi but that was sorted early on by ASUS.

Cheers, Matt.

Think I was hasty updating.  It had been very stable and this morning I did manual check for update and there was ICS. I updated and then this afternoon with it doing nothing it crashes and I had to do full restart.  Something not quite right with.   My Galaxy Nexus that has ICS has never rebooted and has been the most stable phone I have had.  Hopefully there will be another update on the Transformer to fix the crash

I reset my tf101 before installing, fresh start and all that, so much quicker in scrolling and such, video seems heaps better, the only issue I seem to have now is the @ and the " have swapped around but this happened to me when I first got the tablet and updated to 3.2 so I guess it's something I've done...

All in all, so far, very happy.
