On a completely unrelated note - are there any micro SD cards beyond 32GB or is that the current maximum (or absolute maximum?)

Yep there are 64GB cards in the works now, but I don't think many current devices will actually support them, unless software / firmware updates are applied

http://www.phonearena.com/news/KINGMAX-introduces-worlds-first-64GB-microSD-card_id19094

http://dailymobile.se/2009/10/19/press-sandisk-starts-shipping-64gb-memory-cards/

Ahhhh, excellent, I think the biggest impact will be that they lower prices of the 32GB cards. I'm sure 64GB will be insanely priced. I've got 16GB on my current phone and that seems to hold a good selection of music and audio books, plus a few apps.

I'd like to get a bigger card when I get my next phone, but it's not something I need to do right away.

Have any of you guys bought accessories for your HTC Sensations?

I've been looking on Ebay and found a few pretty cool packs, some have capacitive styluses as well.

The update didn't appear to do much of anything for me, seems like its largely a 'behind the scenes' maintenance update, rather than one that brings anything new to the user.

Also, I can't figure out how to use HTC watch for anything other than watching trailers...
?

Watch as a service isn't available in many parts of the world, including NZ (obviously), so what you get with the app is a reflection of that. Telecom NZ will need to confirm this but it seems that HTC intend it to be available here. As it's a paid service, it would likely have a fairly limited potential audience I suspect.

Telecom's promo video on Youtube specifically refers to Watch and says we will be able to buy movies. Interesting to seewhat actually happens.

I think for me i'd probably buy one to see what it's like, but not sure I have a need for any more than that. My commute is by motorbike, not really optimum for viewing. :)

NzBeagle: Has anyone had this notification icon appear and know what I need to do to get rid of it permanently? Is it an issue with my SIM? Only started appearing after I had to get a new one.

Also I have to say the Apps to SD issue with Sense is a little frustrating.

I have the same issue with my Sensation.  It did go away for a little while after a reboot but has come back to stay.  Not a big deal for me, but if anyone knows of a solution I'm keen to hear!

Actually the update did bring a few things in... it brought in a Linkedin app for HTC, but I don't use Linkedin so I didn't install it. And it also then brought up some updates for a few of my apps.

And @lokhor, I've bought a few accessories, I got 2 x USB - microUSB cables for spare chargers for $2.50 each, and also a MiGear travel charging pack (wall socket charger and a car charger). Got them both from Trademe. Ive also bought me a case off Trademe, waiting for that to arrive

I was gonna get one of these as well, but haven't yet

How about you get one @lokhor and I'll go ya halvies haha :D

Those TPU cases look kind of ugly, the ones are Ebay are much nicer. How can you go halves on 3 screen protectors btw?

Well, technically ya can't, but there's also two cleaners so could have one each, and you can have the spare protector.

Yeah I don't know what those cases will be like, but it was cheap enough so thought I'd try it out.

Interesting, I hadn't even noticed the LinkedIn app (also because I'm not a user I guess). Which other apps updated?

Hi, I posted  a while back about this phone freezing/ rebooting etc.  Someone said sounds might be faulty.  It is slower than my desirehd by a long way. I have just received reply from supplier saying phone wont be faulty but it will be caused by moboplayer. They want me to do reboot to factory and have no software installed apart from factory. I know it will still be slow.  How can I watch a video mp4 without installing additional software as Watch says cant find any video file and there is no option to find them for it.  I noticed when phone plays up it vibrates and will go to voice or email or some other app on its own. Other times it will reboot sometimes it wont switch off.

HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard  graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner,  Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

Have you tried Gallery for playing video? it supports some formats but not all. also DicePlayer on the market supports a lot more video formats with hardware acceleration.

as for your other issues I am not sure if it is faulty. Have you tried updating your firmware?

All these things sound like phone faults to me. Try using Dice Player, it's what NZTF has been using in all his demos and he has been stress testing his phone quite a bit. I've experienced none of the mentioned issues. After the update I've had no reboots either.

Who is the supplier? Their suggestion that Moboplayer is the problem seems quite unlikely, but I guess you'll need to do the factory reset in order to go back to them for more assistance.

Dice Player works fine on mine, and many other Sensation owners handsets, so I would also go along with that recommendation.
