The SGSII feels to plastic for me :) i like the metal feel of HTC devices.

What I'm pointing out is that build materials and build quality are not the same.

Yes, the Sensation feels much better in the hand than the plastic SGSII, but its design is flawed. The two pieces of the phone creak and there is movement between them, a lot of dust gets trapped inside because of that, and lots of people have had problems with dust under the screen, which I'm sure is also impacted on by the design.

So while it feels good, of the two phones its the one thats most likely to have build quality problems in the medium to long term.

Its not just build quality issues either though, it doesn't perform anywhere near as well, and its much less future proofed with its low RAM and already aging GPU.

True, lets move discussion to my SGSII Vs Sensation review thread, that way it doesn't get in the way of discussions in the owners threads...

Guys worried about the HTC Sensation's battery life: you can get an Evo3D battery which is 1730mah and it apparently fits: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162787

Sorry - which thread is that? I have found two locked threads, was it one of those or a completely different thread?

Locking's an automagic thing if the thread's not been added to for a certain period (30 days?). Just send an unlock request to Mauricio or one of the other mods.

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

Agh. That evo3d battery makes things harder. I had decided to keep the galaxy s2 due to longer battery life and being a little quicker than the sensation.  After all the trouble I had with my sensation it made it easy. However once I did the phone update it has been a different phone altogether and I like it.  It feels better in the hand and I like the screen.  Now to find a battery and compare again.

What phone update? Do you mean upgrading the firmware or did you load a different launcher?

He likely means the 1.35 update which was released recently but is still unavailable on the Telecom version.

In settings about phone and updates there was one there. I did over the air update. Really dont know why but it really is a different phone now. For some reason made a big difference.  (Just hope saying that hasnt jinxed it again)
The update is 1.35.707.1.   It sure made a difference

Sweet. If you manage to find a place that sells the Evo 3D battery to NZ for a reasonable price let us know.

I haven't looked too much into the link, but is this just because they do't ship to NZ, or the international shipping is a rip off? I have a brother in Florida, I normally get things sent to, shipping from him is SO much cheaper, than any retailer!
