Which ROM are you using? I had a look on XDA about a week back but most of them were based on releases from other phones. I was going to install the miui b4 but it looks pretty buggy as is.

I did the same... Better than new!

Isn't it? What a transformation. Suddenly don't feel the need to upgrade to a new handset any more.

:-)

Cheers.

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

I went for the MrT69 ROM. Thread here.

It's an upgrade 'image' file and installs via the bootloader. Easy and pain-free. Just remember to back up your apps and settings as it'll wipe everything.

Cheers,
R2

Looks good but do have to root the phone to install this rom? If so how hard is it root the phone?

lokhor: Do you have a copy of the radio used in the Z710a stock rom?

No but you can easily extract it from the RUU ;)

You probably can, I'm a noob :P

Ill get it for you... why do you need the radio out of interest? just in case or what?

EDIT: give me the radio version number on your device just incase ;)

Hi CdTDroid, can you please send me a copy of the official RUU or a back up of the stock rom for Telecom sensation z710a? I need to restore it back to stock state to send it back to telecom to have the usb port repaired. Thanks.

So far I have rooted, s-off'ed and installed clockwork recovery and done the superCID process.

I have researched on how I can revert all of this stuff to stock but just getting a little confused by it all. So I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer.

1. If I want to go back to the stock XT gingerbread rom do I just get the zip. and flash it through CWM? And will this remove the root and go back to stock recovery?

2. How do I un-superCID my phone? Will this happen when I revert to stock?

3. I am looking at flashing the Virtuous Inquisition rom. Because I have gone through superCID, it should work on my Telecom XT sim should it not? Or will I also need to sim-unlock the phone aswell for me to be able to call, text etc?

Cheers in advance.

My Sensation is currently downloading the ICS update.

F!!ken woohoo!!!

Not that it told me it was available mind you, I checked the settings and software updates. I have been doing so each night for the last few weeks.

I recommend everyone else that has one, do the same thing.

For everybody's reference, I'm with Vodafone, and my model phone is Sensation Z710e, which was bought into NZ from Hong Kong.

Your situation may vary, but good for me :)

Yay for you indeed. Mine's a Z710a, also on Vodafone, no sign of ICS yet :(

I have just downloaded and installed the latest Virtuous Inquisition ROM and man is it fast! My phone flys through all tasks now!

The best part is that I never needed to SIMunlock to get my phone to work on the Telecom network!

Two mates in my office have had the ICS update on their Vodafone-based HTC Sensations.

My Telecom-sourced HTC Sensation is resolutely not updating so far. Hopefully I'll see something in the near future.
