Hi

I am planning to but accessories from clove.co.uk for my galaxy s ii and I just had a few questions. What does being stung by gst mean. I am spending under $100.

How long does it usually take to deliver?

Does the item come straight to my door or do i have to pick it up?

Thanks.

Under $100 you'll have no trouble at all. If you spend over $400 then you "should" get charged GST but often aren't. So "getting stung" is where you get picked to pay it.

It will come to your door. But if you are not there, then the courier may leave a card telling you where to go to get it.
I think it's about 4-5 days

Was about to ask the same question.

From what I've read, chances are customs will bill you GST before sending out your item. But if you are lucky, they wont.

That the gist of it?

I understand if the customs charge (in this case GST) is less than $50 then it is waived. Ie the cutoff is approx $333 now. Not sure if customs have a handling fee, this might change the cutoff $ slightly.

I got about $100 worth of SGS2 accessories recently from Clove (desk dock and Barely There hard case). The package just came straight to my address with no hassles and no GST. Took 5-6 days from order to delivery.

BTW, there is enough space in the receptacle part of the dock that, with some minor modifications to the dock (shaving away a little plastic) the SGS2 will fit in the dock and the micro USB connection still works with the Case-Mate 'Barely There' case still on the phone - which is pretty handy.
