Using Win7,Samsung S2.Want to install monitoring software that came with my DVr,it's called RemoteEye,came on a cd.I've used Kies to transfer the .apk file to the external_sd /data folder on my sd card,use ES File Explorer can see RemoteEye.apk file,what do I do now?Open it up I can see 

Have downloaded APk manager,Easy Installer AppMonster but can't work out how to install it?

weird all phines ive used i just click on the apk file and click install

Mke sure that "Unknown sources" is checked in application settings. This option allows for non-market alps to be installed. Also the apk isn't in a zip file?

This is where I get confused,single-click on .apk opens it up to show files,how do I install it?It was in a zip file,I can extract it,but no idea what to do after that?How do I find install?Operations gives me Extract to,Cut,copy,rename,delete or Select All?

Your not trying to install it through windows are you? Usually single tap will ask you to install using package installer.

Take it out of the zip for a start, put it on the root of your sd card (doesnt have to be root) and just press on it, it will bring up a window saying do you want to install, done... Use a normal file manager to get to the .apk
