heavenlywild: Hey Nate, what is the battery life like so far on wifi and on 3G?

Have only been running it on Wifi.  Battery life is ok, probably get a full day out of it.

Does anyone know of anywhere local that has accessories for the tab?

I need a case and would like the usb adapter as well.

OK, I'll cave.

I went and talked to the manager of the Courtenay Central voda store and had a play with his 10.1 and was suitably impressed.

He said there was more stock arriving tomorrow or Friday so I put my name down for a phone call when they arrive.

He had his in a case and said I could buy one with the Tab if I wanted. It looked pretty average though so i'm not sure i'll bother. Will likely do an order from Ebay (or other) for a nice case e.t.c.

Hmm I was told by vodafone that they won't have accessories for a month.

Ingram Micro is also out of stock at the moment - no idea on an ETA.

By chance found a 10.1 stocked at my local vodafone shop.

Assume most of the other mainstream stores will have them in a few weeks.
So I will wait for the 32GB because I don't reckon 16GB is enough. I have a 64G ipad 1 and its pretty full of apps, music and video.

What do you think, 16GB not enough?

I have no idea who could live with 16GB these days, but apparently those people are out there. Thats part of the reason I prefer my Transformer, 16GB + my 32GB card is much more manageable, although still a squeeze.

Regards cases - get one from Ebay. I got an awesome leather case for about $20NZ including shipping, well made and nice looking.

Yeah, I went back and forth thinking about how much space I needed. If Voda actually *had* physical stock and weren't giving be wildly different eta dates on more stock I might have waited for them. Not to mention when I asked if they were getting other versions in, the guy I spoke to had no idea there were even other versions available. I don't want or need a 3G connected Tab, but if that was all I was going to be able to get then so be it. Instead I bought a 32GB Tab online. I'll likely even receive it before Vodafone does.

In regards to the physical memory I need, realistically 16GB would be fine, but for the same price as Voda, I got 32... It's hard to argue. Plus I use Google Music quite a bit now and when the Tab is out and about it won't be playing music, my phone will be. Or at least it will be connected to the internet through the phone.

Now I just need to source a nice case and i'll be away and laughing.

Thanks for that. Did you buy your 32GB from clove or mobicity? or somewhere else that is trustworthy?

^ Bugger, I thought that was a smiley face until I realised you had written september and it's only August.

I've ordered a case from Pyroskins, should be interesting to see how it performs. Shouldn't be a month to arrive either...

Just wondered how owners of the Tab were feeling about their purchase?
