Shouldn't have watched that video, gadget lust ramped up even more :)

We must be hearing something pretty soon about the Nexus Prime too... Since this one is slated for Q1 2012 release perhaps I can fill in some time with the Prime...

If anyone here missed it Clove has this up for preorder, price is purely speculative - the preorder is really just to register your interest (and importantly get in the queue nice and early to ensure delivery from the first stock received!). Naturally I have pre-ordered it and will subject it to my usual ultra-critical "real-user" review for their blog.

You may want to think twice about ordering one of these if the European pricing is anything to go by US$1000

Which is 400$ more than its tablet cousin, and its iPad competitor.

Geeks like us will buy it, maybe - but at that price I doubt they'll really set records!

I gotta say, after looking at the sensation, galaxy and optimus 3d, I'm not sure how I would use these as a phone. I find 3.2" to 3.8" to be the sweet spot in terms of calling/texting and this will be the size I will be looking at when I replace my ideos. 4"+ is hust too big.
Will be interesting to see how this one goes seeing how badly the dell streak 5' was received. Maybe a big phone will be better received than a small tablet.

Try Vultr using this link and get us both some credit:

when i first bought my sgs2, i thought it was a bit too big and wide. now, i have to squint when looking at screen smaller than my sgs2!

size matters. bigger is better!

I chose the Tab 7" over the Streak, but picked up a Streak cheap earlier this year when they ran them out.
Its a good device, but was a serious marketing failure when it was released.  Then Dell finished it off with a disastrous Froyo update.

For a smart phone, its a great size.

This stands to be a bigger success than the Streak - the extra resolution really helps in particular (obviously lots of other benefits, but I think this is the major one). Makes all the extra screen real estate really worth it. Will still be a fairly niche device, but I expect it will outsell the Streak massively.

I've pre-ordered through Clove.

Hopefully will get a review unit pre-release also, have to see how that pans out :)
