ok now I am more confused than eve just come from the vodafone store.

Top two currently instore - iphone 4 and S11

But not 100% on either.
I'm a typical girl like stylish things and the s11 looks plastic not smooth and sleek like the nexus one.
Plus I saw on the net yesterday the S111 and that looks very sleek and stylish!

Was told instore there is a apple launch party around the 5th of october so does that mean they will be launching the iphone5???

I know there is always  new phones coming out but I am not 100% on either there at the moment so I don't want to invest in something I am not excited about. hmmm what to do??

If you can wait a bit, I would recommend you wait till things settle down in a month or two. So far no one knows for sure what the upcoming phones will look like, IP5/Nexus Prime/SIII. But I would seriously doubt the SIII is coming out so soon, given the SII only came out a few months ago.

I currently have a Nexus S, and it's serving me well. The only feature I'm missing from the Nexus S is a microSD card slot, so personally I'm impatiently waiting to find out what the Nexus Prime has to offer.

Announcement is scheduled on the 11th Sep, so it'll be announced next week. Getting your hands on one of those will be a different question, though. I have no idea how long you have to wait for its release after the announcement. You'll most likely need to buy from an online retailer from overseas if you want to get one as soon as possible.

As for the iPhone 4S, hardware-wise, I'd say it's very 2011. Don't know what iPhone 5 will be like. The Nexus Prime is said to have a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with a 1280x720 screen. Very attractive with that spec I'd say.

gee I am still not sure what to do...a month on since I first wrote this topic and still have no dates for the galaxy nexus, iphone 4s.  That is one month with no smartphone which is a mission I feel like I have lost part of me - sad as that is! I run two websites so not having email on the go is a mission.
So what to do...
Summary:
Had until it died a nexus one - still under warranty so can get it replaced with something else.
My contract runs out in july so could go for a basic phone now and review in july.
If I upgrade they want me to start a new contract so if do that I need to be happy withe the phone.
Systems wise use microsoft for laptops.  Also are starting to use HP touchpads, the team have windows7 trophy phones.
So do I change tact and look at a windows phone or nokia since they are running them.  Would that be more worthwhile than android from a business point of view.
Have eliminated iphone now I think.
Choices -android or windows
which phones??  are they available now or is there a good one coming out in the next 6 months I should hold out for??  Too many question for this wanna be techno buff!!

Must say found the windows 7 phone far more difficult to download games.  You have to set up zune which I hadn't even heard of.  SO definitely think android is more user friendly in that sense.  But business wise whats the best???

My issue is I can't really wait till next year I need to do something soon. So either go basic now and review in july or go for something avail in the next month.    Ideas thoughts anyone please?

I will have the Galaxy Nexus and Note and the Razr in the month of November to subject to the usual tortuous review treatment, so you could always wait just a little for that!
