sonyab: so what does every think??

Too early to say, because hardware is only half of the equation. I need to sit down and play with Android 4 before I can make a decision.

Besides a bigger screen + Bigger battery is basically equal to SGS2 isnt it? SGS2 has a "Better (Im guessing it will be) camera. Although 4.0 is very inviting, have to wait to see the differences between 4.0 and what we have now.

thoughts on ICS: good to see they have taken alot of evolutionary stuff and added it as stock, like basic "call rejection messaging" and evolved profile cards for your favorite contacts etc. that part of things is tied together like Mango tiles isnt it.

but the fast as camera is pretty impressive - wonder how good the low light really is - however samsung optics have always been near the top of the heap.

and android beam is like Bump done right. very cool. opening up that NFC API to devleopers will have all kinds of crazy uses come up soon i think.

overall im quite impressed. i love the customisability of the home screens, ap navigation, multitasking and "fling to close" gestures... especially love stacking icons to form instant folders! finally something like the Bumptop PC desktop from years ago. alot of this customisability that has only now been taken for granted from customised ROM builds etc.

definitely evolutionary and not revolutionary... but a solid evolution it seems. wonder how well it will run on older devices, or if there is a minimum hardware spec for it....

I seriously can't wait for ICS, so many new features and swiping everywhere!

I'd love a Galaxy Nexus but in terms of value I think the SGS2 beats it for now. The thing is, by the time SGS2 gets ICS it'll probably be early 2012 and I'll be getting ready to buy the next iPhone. Then after the iPhone, another phone and the cycle repeats.

Hopefully ICS reduces fragmentation a little :(

I'll just wait for a 4.0 port/firmware update for my S2, otherwise I'll sell my S2 which is bloody fantastic in it's own right and get the Prime..

In the famous words of Macho Man Randy Savage (WWE Professional Wrestler) .. Oooh Yeahhhh :-)
