From Engadget pics it looks like a standard sim.

Not sure if I want the phone anymore. Getting really interested in Nokia/WP7. Always been a nostalgic Nokia fanboy (Nokia 6300 - the greatest non smart phone ever made), and I am quite interested in WP7. Starting to feel that using Android without being ultra geeky about it is a waste? I'm not sure what I mean here. I do definitely stuff around with my SGS2, run custom roms etc, but hmm.

I just want a Nokia smartphone, I think...

i agree about needing to be pretty geeky to fully appreciate android.

also agree that the new nokia 800 is one amazing looking device - just when you thought there is no way to make a rectangular slab with glass touchscreen look different: bam

Hmmm, so close to pressing the order button from clove, But I think I might wait until the device has been out for 4 weeks, just in case there is no major faults with the hardware or ICS.

from the specs or the engadget photo - was it clear whether you can insert a microSD card on the prime? sorry if I have missed in another forum but would be keen to find this out.

i think at ~514 gbp it is very well priced... it is good to be following these threads and interest on geekzone

No.

I thought that might dissuade me but then I thought, in the two years I have had my N1, I have never exceeded the 8GB microSD card that is in there. so 16GB is going to be fine. Especially now I am moving all my music to Google Music.

I had a Nexus S but sold that before I even cracked open the box :-( I thought the 16GB might be limiting but clearly it's not.

But I am not going to jump on the Prime bandwagon yet. As another poster notes, it's probably better to wait until the dust has settled for the unit and ICS and I can look again in January when I am at CES.

One of the main complaints about the new Nexus is the lack of SD slot. To go beyond 16 gig you have to pay an Apple like tax..

The last two nexus phones were made by Samsung and had no sd slots while the first one made by HTC did.

What does that tell you?

I am currently playing around with a HTC sensation which I like a lot apart from senseui and the fact that you have to wait for HTC to get updates. If I could be sure it would get IcS soon I would upgrade to this.

So no MicroSD slot? So 16G is the highest the memory can go...?

Reminds me of

I think i'll pass on the Galaxy Nexus at its current price, main reasons being lack of expandable memory, and that even though the camera is excellent, i was hoping for a little bit higher resolution. Additionally hardware such as the GPU is a bit lower than expected.
