stevenz: I find my Galaxy Note to be perfectly reasonable to use. I'm not sure how people with iPhones manage to use their tiny little toy phones :)

Very easily in fact.

I can't use a touchscreen phone that small one-handed without getting thumb cramp.

I can see that. I find it good, and the screen and zoom and other iOS featues such as Reader make it a nice webpage phone. But I'd prefer a 4.5" for sure, hopefully the version 5 will do that. Certainly a device thats a bit big for a phone and a bit small for a tablet will defintely fit well in the middle. A nice option.

I agree with the OP's proposition entirely. Now that the Note is here with it's perfect-sized 5.3inch screen there is no need for increasing screen sizes further.

You guys need to keep up! The 7" Galaxy Tabs are where it's at when it comes to a *real* phone, none of these toy Note thingys Tongue Out

I was in a bit of a gear lust recently too and have still, at least for now, stuck to my P500(h). Played with those mega-sized phones (HTC Sensation XL being one of them) in the shops and man, was I impressed with the phone but I'm wondering if I really want that thing in my pocket. The decision came about when I finally took a break from alll the window-shopping and stopped for a greasy fried chicken combo meal... yep, I'm holding on to my P500 for now. You can't beat the ability to twit one-handed (wasn't even with my master hand) with a swiping-type virtual keyboard while eating fried chicken :-D
