Hi guys!

Just wanted your great opinions on a smartphone I was considering to buy... the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S!
Does anyone have this phone? What are your opinions? I was planning to buy from TechBrands but their lazy bums are still on holiday!! (till the 9th!!!) $565 seems like a good deal as DSE NZ have just released the Arc S for $749!

I cant help but think there are better options in that price range. Are you going to be using the camera a lot and care about the quality of the photos it takes? If not you'll proper be better off getting a Sensation of paying a little bit more for a Galaxy S2

Just remember as far I remember and am aware, the Arc S is exactly the same as the original Arc just with a 1.4 GHz processor up from 1 GHz

if i got this phone then i probably would take note of the quality. I agree though.. the Arc S is just exactly the same as Arc except with a higher processor. I also like it's contrast colours and Mobile Bravia Engine compared to the Galaxy S2 as I've seen in videos.

A bit of a word about TechBrands. It is all a bit slow there at the moment. I ordered a phone on the 13th of December and haven't received it yet. It was on the credit card fortunately and I have yet to see if it will turn up. So, be prepared to wait or be disappointed and definitely pay by credit card.

I am still in the waiting mode at the moment. The word on the street is that the owner died in mid November and some friends are trying to get it back on track.

Cheers, Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

ParallelImported.co.nz have been around for a decade now and still in business. Have bought loads of phones from them and would recommend them.
The Sony Ericsson arc s looks like a very good phone, and se have promised an upgrade to ICS which is worth a fair bit really (rare).

Yeah. The only reason I went with TechBrands was because theirs was the cheapest. ParallelImported is one of the most expensive stores with the Arc S.

If you have your heart set on the Arc S, the cheapest place is Fair Buy, they are new but they appear to be decent and have replied to every one of my queries so far no matter how stupid sounding they may be
