Just a buyer beware story about the purchase of an Android based product.
Purchased a 7inch tablet from this online sales company Dino Direct. It arrived broken, after contacting via their online only contact service found out it had to be sent back to China for refund or replacement. After spending 70 for post I received mail from DHL post that Chinese customs required contact number of recipient that item was being sent to.
The one that I was given did not work! I asked again, again, again and again and a few more times, sent free phone number for company to contact Chinese customs to sort out any issues.
All the while being assured online that all was well, problem would be sorted, refund would be received blah blah blah......
Two and half months later Dino Direct closed the case...
These turkeys had no intention I believe, of refunding anything. Would not trust them again thats for sure, so, be wary buying online from places like this. For the sake of a hundred bucks it may well be worth while buying local

Credit card chargeback? Or did you not buy it on credit card.

Surely they should have paid the postage back. You should have asked them to send you a return box and replacement, as it is their fault.

Research companies online before buying.... lot of complaints about Dino Direct if you throw their name into Google.

Good advice, and I would say that for virtually anything you buy online. You may get the odd bad review about a company, but if there is a big quantity or a trend, then that is a warning.

I have bought things from Deal Xtreme and Chinavasion and been very happy with the purchases....but never had anything broken, so can't say if they honour returns properly or not.

I have had trouble with deal extreme, but to their credit they did eventually refund me, took a bit of effort though. But if you buy on credit card, tyou are a lot safer. Even safer if you buy through paypal too.

Yeah, credit refund may have been a better approach although frankly I don't think the sods would have anyway. I was asking  for a replacement.
The difficultly is their online contact system is similar to peeing through a small hole in a really big concrete wall. It simply does not leave other options. I couldn't find any other way to contact.... anybody, so it leaves ya up the proverbial. Anyway, over it, been there done that, learned a lesson.  RESEARCH THESE PLACES PRIOR TO HANDING IT OVER

I think it's unfortunately quite common for the purchaser to have to fund the return freight on warranty claims. Not saying it's good, but I believe that's how most of those sites work.

I have bought tonnes of Aliexpress + Deal Extreme - both without issues.

Dino Direct though, ugh...
