nzviking:

i know its an overkill, but i love the otterbox setup, 60 bucks to protect a thousand dollar phone... im not the best at math but that sounds pretty good to me

EDIT: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/otterbox-for-samsung-galaxy-s3-commuter-series-glacier-p35326.htm   i am gonna get this when it comes available

I used to use one of these at work, since I work at heights, but it made my Galaxy S2 massive, and people laughed at it, so I removed it!

Now if I drop it, I'll just get work to pay part compensation! :)

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

So i went into 2D today and asked when the S3's will be coming in...Guy said 2-3 weeks while I was promised that it'll come in next week, last week.

Not sure if he was just guessing or if it's really going to be that long (I mean i did "pre-order" it)

According to family in Korea SG3 isn't out in Korea yet, quite normal for big releases to be supplied to the rest of the world first.

Here's an idea for you guys picky about the colour, buy a white one and then buy the flip case which has the blue back on it. http://tinyurl.com/77vmw83

Thats what I did anyhow. The guy in the store was saying screen protectors can impact some of the swyping functions. The case with the cover attached should be sufficient to stop keys etc scratching the screen.

That is none sense. Screen protector doesn't impact swyping functions. It never will and never was. The only thing the screen protector did was to protect the screen from accidental scratches or sandy grain. But it does reduce the screen sensitivity a little bit. May be hardly noticeable anyway.

Does it have a counter like it was on Galaxy S2 when you added custom kernel?

I'm not sure whether I've accidentally removed/deleted an icon during my initial configuration of my Telecom S3, but I can't seem to find an App icon which just opens a Web browser!

On previous versions of Android, I've had a "Browser" icon and I"ve seen some S3 screenshots which have an "Internet" icon. However, I can't find anything on mine. I do have some Telecom-specific icons such as "Y!Tworld" which opens a browser and takes you to the Telecom/Yahoo homepage, but I don't want this. I just want to be able to pop open a browser on a blank page.

I've downloaded the Chrome beta app and this works just fine, but I'd like to use the default Samsung Android browser. Any idea where to find the App icon (it's not in the Apps/Widgets list as far as I can see).

Your internet browser icon is in the app drawer or may be you hide it by accident.

I've looked again pretty carefully through the App drawer and can't see it. I've checked "all" and just "downloaded" apps. I've opened the menu and selected "hide applications" to see whether any were showing as checked.

Can anyone else with a Telecom S3 verify this?
