Update on those Xtreme Guards. The 'grip' feeling has mostly gone now. It's also nearly 100% clear again.

Only issue now is that it's a bit soft/thick. Ie i pushed my nail (which isn't long either) down on it, and it made a scratch/impression on it. Its sorta squishy when pushed down with a sharp object.

I've been using the beta for quite sometime. Previously I was a fan of Swype. SwiftKey beats it hands down.

I picked up my S3 from Warehouse Stationary yesterday, so it's a 2 Degrees model, but I'm on Vodafone.

In the call settings there's a Voicemail section and the voicemail service is set to 2 Degrees.  Tapping on that brings up a list but the only entry is "2degrees".  How do I set it up to use Vodafone's voicemail service?

I'm also having problems with the Wifi.  It worked fine at work and at home last night, but this morning at home it won't work.  I can see that it connects to my router (phone's MAC address shows up as a wireless client in my router admin) but n IP address gets assigned even though it's set to DHCP.  I've tried telling the phone to forget the network and then reconnect and re-enter WPA key but that didn't help.  Rebooting phone a couple of times doesn't help.  Router was turned off over night.  All other devices in the house are connecting ok.  Any ideas?

Try switching it to mobile data and then try Wifi again.  If that doesn't help then give your router a restart and restart your phone once more and try connect to it.  This happened once or twice on my SGS2 few months back and above is what I did.  I also toggled the Wifi on/off repeatedly before it connected.

Just some thoughts....

i've similar problem too but occassionally. at home, you see that wifi turned on but still uses my cell data connection! i've to turn off wifi (from notification center) and turn back on again and everything would be fine. But like i said it happens only intermittently.

Change the APN setting and select provider to Vodafone. This would fixed your problem. Otherwise just flash Vodafone firmware :)

Don't forget to Root it first -> install TriangleAway > Back up your 2Degree firmware  > flash Vodafone.

If in doubt and returning it to the store for warranty then Root Vodafone firmware > Reinstall your backup firmware > TriangleAway > Factory reset

Done. This way you always have a stock firmware handy.

I bought a spare battery a few days ago, it performs remarkably better than the original, I got 2 days out of it with data, wifi hot spot at times, lots of use! I swapped back to original last nigt and from 8pm untill 8am with little use at all it was down to 65%. Does anyone know an easy and scientific way to tell if I have a dud? They seem to be the same spec, NFC etc.

Also, I am finding a glitch with the email client, whenever the ram is more than about 600mb used (which is often on my telecom version) the email client opens to my gmail inbox, instead of the combined inbox i left it on last time. is anyone finding the same glitch? its not the end of the world but a little annoying. l am often finding ram is about 650mb used when ive been on browser, sms, email, is this your experience a well? Or could it be telecom bloatware? Having to clear the ram several times a day in task manager to get the phone running smoothly just doesnt sit right with me

I tried out Swiftkey but I still prefer Swype. I prefer the fluidity of swyping words as opposed to the tappiness of Swiftkey.

Has anyone managed to get the "Track My Mobile" function to work on www.samsungdive.com?  That and all the other functions (Ring My Mobile, Call Logs, etc) don't seem to work.
