IntegerIsNumber: Update: After did factory reset on updated JB, my phone is no longer has the continuous proximity sensor issue. Seems like something gone bad along the upgrade. Best to wipe the phone after install and make it fresh.

- Camera app is a new app :)

You can now recording video and pause your recording then resume when you needing. :) Awesome!

Integer are you by any chance using viber? the latest updated which occured two or three days is the cause of the proximity sensor staying on for many on DLIB (discovered on XDA). It may not be the problem in your case but I just tested it my sensor was glowing faint red for a while then as soon as I uninstalled viber instant off and has not shown since,

Ah I noticed the light on last night and that answers the question why.

Something strange happened today. During lunch I sometimes duck into the Library for the free WiFi (I know, tight aye?)

Today I logged on with my S3 and everything was cool. After a wee while just by chance I checked the Gallery and there was a strange folder in there with a blokes name (looked like this xxxxx-HP) complete with 400 photo thumbnails of what looked like holiday snapshots. When I shut down the WiFi it disappeared.

I also called into the Telecom shop to have a look at the new other phone - it looked nice in all black but the screen is just too small, it would be like going back to a GT-I5503T.

Yes he has his Windows Media centre sharing on :)
You sneaky bastard lol.
Yes that OtherPhone is nothing special other than the usual look and longer screen.

I decided to give Swype a go since I've heard about it but never tried it.  At first it was ok but then when typing a text it insisted on putting and keeping the cursor at the beginning of the text input area even though the words I was typing were appearing at the end of the input area.  Is this usual?  Was very disconcerting and off-putting!

has anyone had any problems with their wifi not switching to mobile data when out of wifi range ?

twice this week I have got to work and the phone was still showing as connected to my home wifi, although not connecting / transferring data, obviously, but wouldn't switch to mobile data until I switched the wifi off.

kind of odd as it's the complete opposite problem I was having previously where it wouldn't pick up my home wifi when I got in range and would stay on mobile data.

I am using polish JB.

Never seen it do that, cursor has always been a the end of the text.
Are you using the samsung swype or the one above?

Definitely using the sywpe.com one, the beta version that they let you have.  I've only had it on my phone for a few hours and it was working fine for the first 5 texts I sent.  Maybe it was just a temporary glitch, it is beta software after all!  I'll have a look on their forums to see if anyone else has had this problem.

A friend of mine just had his S3 go thermonuclear on him. It was burning him through his jeans pocket, the whole screen was too hot to touch but managed to turn it off and get the battery out. I thought stories like this were all hoax's!!! :( has anyone else had anything similar happen? We're thinking it'll have to go back to the shop.
