joker97: ah thanks so the NZ (both NZ new and parallel imported ones) is 1GB?

Aren't the 2GB ones one dual core and not quad core?

No. There are 2GB Quad core exynos version.

GT-I9305 (aus, Germany and some other Euro country) = Exynos 4Quad 1.65GHz + LTE + 2GB RAM + split screen + new Gallery.

Korean S3 = Exynos 4 Quad 1.4GHz + LTE + 2GB RAM

USA S3s = Snapdragon 4 Dual with LTE + 2GB RAM

Our S3 and most parallel import + international GT-i9300 = Exynos 4 Quad 1.4GHz + 1GB RAM

So many different models. Is there any really disadvantage in just having 1GB? I haven't found any problems or slow downs when running multiple apps.

Slow down is not really a big issue on S3 1GB RAM but the issue is launcher refreshed and cleared quite often when RAM shortage. You may notice that TouchWiz launcher reload itself and browsers have to reload Web page or even browser force close.
Also you might find yourself struggle when making movie on your phone (join and edit many videos with audio track).
Otherwise not that bad. But it could be a problem for future ROM upgrade and features.

With JB (not Justin beiber ) you'll get extra 50MB RAM back from system reserved. Thanks to project butter.

I am going to try soon. Was waiting for UK one. Is the Gallery full screen fixed in UK version?

Yes using it since weekend, found it to be fantastic. 3G is faster and its smooth. Better than any custom Rom I've tried. Been using wanamlite for quite a while, 3g became eratic on custom roms. Flashed 4.0.4 btu received 4.1.1 via kies.

Anyone know if there is a way to tell where a parallel imported S3 has come from?

I saw someone got their phone from eInfo and has already recieved the JB update. I also got mine from there but don't have it yet.

Check the box language and manual. Check the firmware or default language when start up the phone for the first time.

I am new to Android system, previous iPhone user for years.

how can I set my push notification? Currently only Gmail, text message and calls work. The other applications does not work including facebook, whatsapp, twitter .......

I have clicked ON for notifications on every of these applications. But if the app is not active, I am not able to receive any push notification, which is really annoying.

Does anyone know about that? I am currently using Jelly Bean 4.1.1

Pull down the notification bar and see if Notification is highlighted in green (on)

try settings menu then look at accounts section and it should have all the apps that require sync, click on one that isn't syncing and check the settings.
