I might be one of the excited ones, but to heck with it, I think I'll have a few Sake's and some raw fish with the wife tonight in anticipation.

Und3f:
sidders80: just got off the phone with JBhifi. so they have a 32GB version too coming in at $1149.

Umm $200 more for extra 16gb. I rather get the 16gb at $949 and perhaps get 16gb Micro SD card for $20 - $40 max (depend on class I guess).

Anyone know what could be the potential disadvantages having a micro SD versus built in extra storage?

Thank you Smile

Wait till said cheap card throws a hissy and you need to reformat it :P

Hasn't happened to me in a while but damned annoying when it does, plus some people love mega capacity, no matter what size card you put in it the 32gb will always hold 16gb more than the 16gb version

Apple seem to think a doubling of memory is worth a $150 premium so maybe Samsung is jsut followign suite? :P

I ended up having to replace my SD card recently; it was corrupting files, freezing the phone, and being a general PITA. . . .I spent a bit more on the replacement for one with ECC.  The I/O on the internal card must be faster than an external card too?

Hey guys, I've been reading this post for awhile and I have some questions of my own.

I looked at the WHS preorder and called them up today to ask if it would also work with Vodafone sim cards. They told me that I would have to call Vodafone up to see if they were carrying the same model.

So has anyone confirmed it works with Vodafone?

Thanks.

So basically, WHS is only doing the promotion with 2degrees but it isn't necessarily a 2degrees handset?
Then how come they sell Vodafone and XT handsets seperately? I'm not really familiar with these types of things, so I want to be 100% certain that it will work. Sorry haha.

Well, if it doesn't work, I suppose I could get it unlocked.

Thanks for your reply.

I was going to get an HTC One X but it has a locked bootloader.

Any thoughts on whether the Telecom SGS3 will have a locked bootloader? SGS's bootloader are usually unlocked right?

I know I could get an international version to be safe but was wanting to resign a contract.

Thank you very much for clearing that up. I think I might just pop into WHS tomorrow and preorder my GSIII. Smile

NZtechfreak said a few posts back that rooting it looks to be trivial, so there will be no problems with bootloaders. I dont know why HTC insist on doing that.
