@JeffNZ What kind of issues does Wanam 4.2.1 have?

I was thinking of installing it soon, am currently on Official leaked 4.2.1

Are the issues you talk about in both roms, or just Wanam?

Thanks I missed that as 6.1 is 4.1.2 so assumed V6 was also.

Cheers, I haven't noticed any bugs tho - apart from the phone being a little warm a few times when taking it out of my pocket (but always cool when on the desk, strangely - maybe some motion thing is staying enabled when it shouldnt be?)

Has anyone come across any screen burn-in issues? I think screen-burn in is not technically the correct term on an AMOLED display but it best describes my issue.

Whenever I'm viewing a photo or video in fullscreen, I have this opaque 'line/band' appear where the Status bar would have been. It is really noticable the most when viewing blue colours but is also visible on whites and greys. Red and greens are the hardest to see this 'line' but it is there.

Here's a photo:

I've read some time ago that this can happen on AMOLED displays but to be honest, I'm a little disappointed that I have this defect on a 9 month old phone.

Looks like I'll be sending my phone in to be repaired.

I have screen burn also so yes it is very possible. Are you sending it in under warranty, would it be covered?
I haven't done anything with mine yet.

I'm hoping it'll be covered under warranty. I have a few months to go before my warranty expires so I'll get it to them before then.

When I spoke to the retailer that sold me the phone, they said yeah bring the phone in and they'll send it away to get looked at. At the time I rang, he said that the repair centre was busy at the moment and that it would be a three week turnaround, so I left it. I'll get onto it soon though.

Top right corner, a rectangle with a tick on it will bring up batch options

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Right but I can't see which option under restore I would pick. They all seem like template options that will run automatically none of which suit me without modification. Sorry if I am being dumb?

If you only want selected apps restored select the option that best suits (User/System/ALL) it will then show a list with all selected. Click on deselect all and reselect the ones you want restored, then tap the green tick :)

Ah that was what I wanted. I thought it was going to work like that but I was worried in case it didn't.
