TheUngeek: Hmmm white wont stay white for long.
Popped into my local vodafone store and they had just recieved thier dummy model. I was the third person to touch it and it was already stained :(

The real unit should, generally you can wipe anything off the polycarbonite (I've already wiped stuff off mine).

You may not get charged GST, but I agree you should expect it and plan for it.

otari: Got an MHL cable today and just played a few rounds of Riptide GP and Shadowgun THD through my TV - WOW! Looks amazing. I had to remind myself several times that the whole game was actually playing out of the thing I was using as a controller, and that thing was my phone. Sick.

It was a bit finicky with the connection, but I'm pretty sure that was just because the cheapy MHL cable I got off trademe didn't have high quality plugs - had to wiggle it a few times to get it back on the TV screen.

Regardless, I certainly don't need a gaming console anymore. Tegra 3 One X + a bluetooth gaming controller + MHL would be heaven. That said, using the phone as the controller worked fine.

Great set up indeed with bluetooth! Got a few example vids of that on my YouTube channel :)

Incidentally, WiiMotes work without needing Root or custom ROMS etc, so if you wanted to get that rig going at yours it's easily done (confirmed personally with my Datel Retro Wireless controller).

Oh agreed, I was ready to pay it if necessary. But with DHL you will *always* have to pay, and with Royal mail you may not. That said, I think DHL do scan it once more than the Post does while it's en route, so that's something.

It was interesting, the customs form from Clove listed the value as "400" (no denomination indicated) and the contents as "USB Device" - so those may have helped.

Don't worry about the White Poly body...cleans anything off easily, even ink stains from jeans.

Man this phone just keeps getting better with everyday use, i like it more and more.

I've never been able to find an MSI one to actually but...

Got the Datel from Code Junkies US online store, they only ship within the US so you'd need to use a service like Shipito (my blog has a guide for using Shipito).

Regular WiiMotes work but aren't quite a good, and regular Classic controllers will also work but need to be connected to a WiiMote, so it's worth getting the Datel in my books.

Anyone noticed one of the tasks a brand new handset is running is "FTP Test Server"?

It makes you think if they really have the optimal configuration when sent out...

Damager: Ok early days, but any One X blogs up yet?

Think they should come up this coming week, the deadline for the first week is tomorrow

Mine aren't too in depth at the moment, since I've only had 3 days to play, just first impressions, but I hope to do a lot of in depth reviews over the next week

I've a query for those already with one.
What's it like heat wise?
I know my desire gets hot, and when using it as gps speedo in a car I need to mount in the air flow from a vent or after an hour or two it overheats and goes into a reboot loop.

I left a phone in the sun in a car once, it wouldn't start up for about 30mins afterwards...

The One X specifically though, it did get hot when I first got it for some reason when I was just setting stuff up on 3G and checking out all the different menus and stuff. I haven't noticed anything heating up since, that being said I haven't loaded up glowball and left it running in the sun for 30mins

Yeah, I haven't noticed too much heat either. I can charge it while gaming, and it's no where near as hot at my Galaxy S2 on charge

I've got a heat spot gun here, so I'll try get some proper measurements with that, when I get around to testing the gaming on it
