The best web based iPhone app yet! Scenario Poker for the iPhone.

, posted: 25-Jun-2008 13:35

As much as I don't like to admit it, I am an owner of an iPhone, those of you who know me, or have read my blog a bit, would know my general stance on apple products, but I feel the iPhone is an exception, as, as much as I tried to hate it, I couldn't its a damn sexy piece of hardware and its the best smart phone / pocket pc / pda type device I've used to date.

A little while ago I came across a web based app for the iPhone, thats called Scenario Poker.

its great, its a well built and designed Fixed-Limit Texas Holdem game that runs in the Iphone browser.

You play against computer players, but thats ok, as its a bit like a training simulator than an actual poker game, and for those of you who enjoy playing texas holdem, its a great way to practice in the down times, on the bus or taking an smoke break from work.

It runs really great on Wireless or Edge (or mobile network data) and it runs really smoothly and is great fun to play in the line at the post office or the bank.

(you can also get it for Mac OSX and its been in the the top 50 downloads since its release in april 2005 but I won't discuss the mac version as I don't use one.)

its a lot of fun and its the best web - based app I've used so far on the iPhone - and its the only Texas Holdem app I know of for the iphone, so if anyone knows of another one, please let me know :)
