Hi

I post under the "smart mobile" banner with hesitation. I've bought this on pre pay for sons birthday. Decent looking phone - complex enough for an 11 year old. Found some java games online and connected upto the PC using datacable to transfer them over.

Where the hell do I copy the games to ? The games folder is not accessible under the USB mass storage setup and everything else is music or photos. I cant also see the micro sim storage card I inserted under this setup.

I believe I can also download directly to phone but given the browser is GPRS and his top up card runs out fast I thought I could transfer the games through a data cable from the pc?  Or am i wrong?

Thx for any pointers.

Ged

Is the storage 'mounted'? Often it requires something to be permitted on the phone before the storage is accesible via USB.

Otherwise try creating a Games folder alongside the Music and Video ones.

Or just try copying the games anywhere and then see if you can find them on the phone - you can't do too much damage :-)

Hi have you simply tired creating a Games folder (with the exact same folder name as the phone games folder on the SD card and throw them in there.

To get the music onto the SD card I had to create a folder with the same name as on the phone for music "My Music" as I remember and it just picked up all the .mp3 and .mp4 files without a hitch, but previous to that when I created a folder labled just "Music" it did not pick them up, so give that a go.

I got one of these for my wife as her old nokia 1100 died, she likes the keyboard, all she ever uses is txt and receiving calls from me as bestbuddy.

Cyril
