OK, so maybe not epic. But kind a funny. And good for unleashing a little frustration if you've ever had to work with rubbish technology

Folks, just a note to let you know I have removed the MEDIA button from the rich text editor.

From now on please use the [youtube] BBCode. You enter [youtube] followed by the YouTube video code (the bit after v= and before the & in the URL) and close the tag with [/ youtube] (without the space).

If you enter the full URL in the tag then YouTube will take over the page, we will delete the post, and if we not in a good mood ban your account ;)

Hayaku: A Time Lapse Journey Through Japan from Brad Kremer on Vimeo.

I'm missing something here.  The code I've copied and pasted shows the video in the Preview of the post but not when I've actually posted?!

  Any suggestions?

freitasm: Currently only YouTube is supported.

Thanks for the reply freitasm.  That explains it.

Will support for other sites be added at a later date? or has this been disabled for a reason?

If we can create a bbcode, sure. Removed media support because of security concerns (iframe, object, etc)...

Confirmed here, the youtube tab and everything in the post gets stripped right out.
