I just ordered the new coffee.
It was an Osama Bin Latte.
Frothy white head with 2 shots.

freitasm: Ok, enough of invoking Godwin's Law.

On another note, BBC reports "... officials in Pakistan have launched an inquiry into the failure of intelligence services to locate Osama bin Laden"

Or as someone pointed out to me on Twitter, "My bullsh*t translator glosses that as 'Officials in Pakistan have launched an inquiry into the failure to warn Osama in time...'"

LOL

TheUngeek: Osama was a terrorist

He was 'labelled' a terrorist by the U.S government but what terrorist act did he actually commit?? We will never know now...

he chose to wage war

Did he? I've yet to have seen any video to date that actually explains if in fact he is waging war with the U.S government? Nor that he was responsible for the events of 9/11?

he got shot by the good guys.

U.S Govt - the good guys?? Yeah right.

TheUngeek: Hundreds of thousands of innocents....
There is no point in trying to debate with someone who believes the enemys propaganda...
But the point is Saddam had to go. He murdered the hundreds and thousands of innocents. Not America. Hell he did it before 1991.

Before 1991? Well, yes he was supported by the United States right up until the invasion of Kuwait in 1990. In fact, Saddam's worst known atrocity occurred in 1988:

wikipedia: "Saddam Hussein's government officially blamed Iran for the attack. The international response at the time was muted and the United States even suggested Iran was responsible. The United States, who, at the time, were allies of Iraq in their war with Iran, said the images could not be verified to be the responsibility of Iraq"

..and he was well known for bulk evil before that as well.

Saying nasty things like that about Saddam back in 88 was positively un-american. How times change.

it's all about oil (petroleum) ... look at all the countries who were and are at war - only the ones with oil get american intervention.

cambodia - pol pot
zimbabwe
sudan
congo
north korea (?)
bosnia herzegoniva

etc ... who gives a &^%

but kuwait ... iraq ... libya ... now we're talking - get in there, get the oil, and maybe appear to try to "make it a better place"

We know (at least until the story changes again) that OBL was not armed, that only one person at that hideout returned fire and they were shot first.

Why would they NOT want to capture him by any means necessary, he surely must have been an extremely valuable target for interrogation, probably THE most valuable target.

Highly valuable target. Not returning fire. Not even ready to return fire. Gets shot. Nobody can see the body. Story changing in fairly fundamental ways every day (it would hardly surprise me if the next change was "actually we didn't get DNA samples"). And let us not forget that this place has certainly been on the radar since at least 2008 (Wikileaks) but it has coincidentally only just happened since the WL release, did it really take 3 years to track him down from that information?

One day, the world might learn the whole story, but I suspect it won't be quite so clean cut as "we shot Osama and buried him at sea".

Go to your local library and do some research and some reading, it's not that hard.

I've yet to have seen any video to date that shows the LHC (only some stills), does that mean it doesn't exist. I also haven't seen any actual footage filmed in madagascar (only some animated nonsense), Is Madagascar a real place?

Because YOU haven't seen it doesn't make it any less real!

I'm going back to thinking about real things that effect me (fixing my car for it's WoF). I have evidence if you want to see it!

It seems some are forgetting that this was a highly risky covert raid.
They didn't just walk in and have all the time in the world to do as they wanted.
They had to get in and out fast. And it started off bad with the chopper crash.
They had to rush into a compound and raid several buildings where you can never be quite sure if you you have the layout right, or know how many people are there. Or if they have wired it to be blown up if raided...

So after the fact you have to remember those things when criticizing how it went down.
As I mentioned before Osama is well know for using suicide bombers as weapons. Could you be sure he is not willing to be the same when it comes to it?
So you bust into his room and he make s a move, is he trying to hide? Reaching for a gun? (several were found in his room) is he reaching for a bomb trigger? Or was he just scratching his nuts?

Not as simple and clear cut as you may think. Don't make the mistake of using TV and movies as examples of how these things happen.

there are no hard and fast rules.

if you were a family growing up in palestine getting bombed and oppressed every day your world view is of a certain kind.

if your entire family and girlfriend perished in the world trade centre on 9-11 your world view is very different.

if all you do is play PS3 and SC2 everyday and eating Big Macs and watching youtube rubbish your worldview does not exist - stop commenting.
