Hi there, I am kinda of stuck here.
I am with telecom and am on the Explorer broadband plan. When I changed I noticed I was able to go on ADSL2+.
I did the two checks to see if I was able to (line check and plan check) and everything was fine.
For some reason I am no on ADSL2+ and i'm on normal ADSL.

Does anyone have a clue why?
I checked on websites about my router and they say it is ADSL2+ compatable. It's a Lynksis Wag200G.

Any help would be appreciated!

Oh I forgot to mention that I did speedtest on speedtest.net and got 6 down 0.6 up.

Maybe your local exchange or cabinet doesn't have ADSL2+ yet or there are not enough ADSL2+ ports yet.

Login to the WAG200G and have a look at the connection information it will usually tell your what adsl mode the connection is using.

My local exchange does have it, the Telecom website confirms it.

I'll try looking in the settings but I don't know where to look...

In the web admin...

To change the ADSL mode:

  Setup >> Basic Setup >> DSL Modulation >> Set it to "ADSL2+" (the default is multimode if you have problems and want to set it back) >> Save Settings

To view the status of the connection:

  Status >> DSL Connection >> Refresh

Thanks I tried that but the speeds did not change, infact the download decreased by 500kbps (6.7 -> 6.2).

As JimmyLizar wrote before we have rules. The rules are here to make sure people don't waste their time, and everyone get a good result. I understand you may want "more people to see it" but it doesn't work this way.
