Yes we can port at not extra charge.

Pretty much all of NZ is covered now as well.

The only regions we dont have are Wanganui, Whakatane, Levin and Warkworth.

3 questions,

Can existing customers remain on the same untimed local calls and 5c national calls plan?

Does the iTalk data still not cout towards your Slingshot ADSL data cap?

Is iTalk available to a business user?

The old $9.95 plan offfered free local calling, national calls at 5c per min
The new plan offers 500 national and local minutes included then 2c local and 5c national.

It also appears the hardware has dropped in price which is superb. Bugetone is $89 and HandyTone 486 is $69.
Overall good changes I was told they were coming about a year back,

Quick question - are 'received' calls free and not counted in free minutes - I?might assume that this is the case but not 100% sure+isn't clear from a quick look at the website?

Seems to be a bit of a step backwards from the old plans with a limit and charging on local calls.

No call foward or caller id unless I pay twice what it costs now? how is that better?

For most users the national minute inclusion will be better overall, for myself, I'm better keeping it as it is with untimed local calls.

Hmm yes I missed that, The callerID, callforward and call waiting really should have been left in.

A lot of the features included are not something I would use on a regular basis. While the plans overall are generally better, In my opinion they should have included the CallerID, Callwaiting, *69, call forward and left the rest out.

I would disagree, since if italk wasnt included with my internet plan, it would be costing me an extra $10 or 20 to get the features I have now. I dont care about the included minuites since I only have it to have a local number. The last time I called out of Auckland and talked for more then a couple of mins was a very long time ago. Really, the 2talk system is better except for the credit card only topups.
