As normal i leave everything to the last minute, the V8s are about to start next weekend and i see that tv3 in their great wisdom are going to share their coverage on both tv3 and C4, while i dont really mind it would have been even better for me had i live in an area that recieves C4.

So when we built our new home here in Motueka, (Nelson) i got the aerial installer to put a dish on the roof incase i decided to get freeview or sky..... Now is the time i need to get a decoder. ( he set the dish up for freeview... as he said if we decided to get sky they would make any changes as part of their free install)

Everywhere i read up on these units and all stores i go to locally keep trying to push HD recievers on to me, but i am sure i have read here on these pages that nelson is not likely to get HD for some time??? is this still correct??

A basic unit is all i really require, but is there better options out there??

Cheers

Hi Shelby, Nelson is still not likely to get a DTT transmitter upgrade for sometime, and the current guvmnet has indicated little intererst in funding the 2nd teir rollout that include Nelson. So I would be interested as to what services these local guys expect these HD recievers to get a signal from.

As for Sat boxs, PM me.

Cheers
Cyril

as an aside... as per usual, TV3 aren't showing the non championship round from Albert Park at the end of the month.

Also, seems all races are on TV3 for this round, proabably delayed, full of Rock bogans crapping on for hours, with ad breaks every 3 mins Undecided
