This is probably the wrong forum to put this on but not sure what other ones will do.

My question is how to use a ps3 to play tv3 on demand, even isky video feeds.

Since there is TVNZ on demand already on the PS3 is TV3 expecting to put one on or is there an alternative app for the PS3 to play TV3 on demand videos.

There's no agreement between MediaWorks and/or Sky with Sony Entertainment for PS3. Only TVNZ has the current agreement.

I personally think all on demand shows from all networks should be available from one single location.

Kind of like Hulu i guess...

well that would be a perfect situation for good old zealand but i have feeling that might never happen until some smart guy spends the money to create it.

I wouldnt mind having hulu or something similar to do just that and i would pay for it. But it would need to have the latest programs from the US on it to make it worthwhile.

Until the studios can get off their greedy control feeding and actually make content accessible, Hulu will not happen in NZ.

My tvnz on demand has disappeared off my ps3. It went with last update. Turned on couple times since and hasn't come back. Do some people still have it there?

Just set up a new PS3 at the weekend and it wasn't there. Checked back last night and it had appeared as a sub heading under a new category - channels?

It might be linked to signing in on the PS network.

TVNZ On Demand is gone from mine and TBH, I'm not in any urge to try to get it back, I don't use it after trying it out when it first available.

Hm, I have the latest patch and I still have TVNZ On Demand - it never disappeared from my menu, it just got moved to a different place - "My Channels"..

(By the way, it shouldn't really be that difficult for TV3 or iSky to provide a version that "works" with the ps3 as from my understanding the TVNZ OnDemand ps3 'app' is just a tailored-for-ps3 version of the website...)

My Channels??? Don't seem to have that either.

Tried looking in various nooks and crannies but no tvnz ondemand anymore since last update.

Can you access it via the PS3 web-browser?

Why is any network activity on the PS3 so amazingly slow? Anything downloaded on my 360 or the computer is at least 2-3 times faster. I've found on-demand to be a dead loss as it's always buffering.

"You are" = "You're" - Not "Your".  "They are" = "They're" - Not "Their" or "There".  You probably mean "lose" not "loose".  There's no such word as "Alot".

+1. It's disappeared from mine too but the bitrate and resolution are so low that it would barely have impressed me in 1995 let alone 2011.

Weird, as the above poster said, it should appear in your "Channels" if it's not there, try going to "whats new" near the store and it'll be in there.  That's if you want to watch youtube quality tv1/tv2 programs as you've mentioned above though

Or...get unblock US, make a US account, download Netflix and Hulu Plus, then get them in 1080P instead :)

The TVNZ on demand icon moves to a new place and there's something silly like you have to play a game first or something before it appears.

I had this problem too, I had to play a games from the blu-ray drive (ie not a downloaded game) and connect to PSN before I got the "my channels" option on the XMB, then you need to download the TVNZ app and you will be back up and running.

As for TV3, try going to the TV3 on demand website through the web browser, I haven't tried this is a while but have been able to do it in the past.

Chris

P.S Don't bother with the MUBI app in my channels unless you are prepared to pay for b grade movies.

Cheers, will try that. I mainly play downloaded games. Will put blu-ray disc in and see what happens.

Never that impressed with quality either, wish they had an on demand applic for ipad, movie trailers look good on that and play smoothly.
