The company I work for has recently decided it wants to use it's name as a domain name for email (currently uses an xtra address - small firm, needs to add another address for client location). I have registered the domain and am now looking for somewhere to host it. The email I intend on hosting with Google Apps Standard Edition (the simpler the setup the better for my employer and their staff).
What I am now looking for is somewhere to host the domain as cheaply as possible where I can edit the DNS records and put up a holding page (the company does not need a website per say, a simple page listing contact details is all that is required). Normally most domain registrars offer DNS hosting with advanced record editing as well as a free holding page, the registrar I used does not offer either (I didn't do my homework properly).
My question for you guys is: can anyone recommend a reliable cheap host (only need 10mb/1 gig if that, NZ based best) that is payable yearly OR can anyone recommend a NZ domain registrar that I can transfer the domain to that will offer: Hosted DNS with advanced record editing (MX/Cname etc) as well as offer a customizable holding page?
Normally I would host it on my own server but I would rather set it up so that my employer can renew the domain and manage the email but not have to worry about anything else (I may move on at some stage).
