Handspring revealed more information on the new Treo 600, a Palm OS based smartphone with versions for GSM/GPRS and CDMA networks.
The new device will not be available in stores, but only through operators. The Treo 600 runs Palm OS 5.2.1, with a 144 MHz Texas Instruments OMAP processor (the same used on the Palm Zire 71). It comes with 32 MB of RAM, with 22 to 25MB available after operators add special programs and setup.
This new device also support SDIO, which means not only memory expansion, but new line of devices like wi-fi and Bluetooth SD cards can be used with it. The new Treo also sports digital camera and a five way DPAD for easier navigation.
The Handspring website is hosting a streaming QuickTime movie with a demo with this new device.
