Sony Ericsson HBH-35 Bluetooth headset review

Sony Ericsson HBH-35 Bluetooth headset review
The new Sony Ericsson HBH-35 Bluetooth headset is a little wonder. Little indeed, only 107mm and 28g!

I've been looking for a Bluetooth headset capable of working with most Bluetooth phones, but couldn't find any. This is a special requirement because of Nokia mobile phones only having the Handsfree profile implemented, instead of the more widely used Headset profile.

Sony Ericsson came to my help, sending me the new HBH-35 for review. It arrived here with the Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone (also coming to New Zealand soon!). The HBH-35, to be released in New Zealand at the end of July or beginning of August, implements both the Headset and Handsfree Bluetooth profiles, making this headset one of the few in the market that actually work with any Bluetooth mobile phone implementation.

This headset can be used for up to 5 hours while talking, and will stay in stand by for up to 125 hours! It's also very comfortable to wear, with the ear loop made from a rubber material (although it's a little hard to fit in the first time it's used). The headset can be used in either ear, but with a "twist": the user does not need to detach the ear loop. Simply swivel it around, in place, and change the side you use it. This reduces a lot of the broken ear loops I've seen reported before with other models.

Being smaller is also great, because it's not as apparent as the old models (the HBH-20 is very good, but it looks like a Madonna microphone ).

The sound reception is clear, and users will not notice a difference between using the headset instead of the mobile phone itself - actually it's much better! If you're looking for a Bluetooth headset, and need one that works with new and updated Bluetooth profiles, give this little one a try .
