MS Smartphone i-Mate ready to ship
PPCW.Net initiative is a great thing for mobile: a non-carrier brand MS Smartphone device sold directly to customers all over the world.

I think this was a great idea. Arne Hess from PPCW.Net arranged with HTC to resell the MS Smartphone branded with its website name. Users can buy this mobile directly from PPCW.Net, paying with a PayPal account, for US$ 549.

The mobile is based on the HTC Tanager design, with the following:

  • HTC Tanager with Microsoft Windows Powered Smartphone 2002 OS
  • Tri-band GSM 900, 1800, 1900 MHz/GPRS Class 8
  • Supported Languages: English, French, German, Spanish
  • 32MB ROM
  • 16MB RAM
  • SDIO Memory Expansion Slot
  • 16-bits Data Bus
  • 64k Color Transflective LCD
  • Integrated Antenna
  • SIM Free
  • Certification Free
