The Samsung SGH-i500 will be the first smartphone running the new Palm OS 5.2. This clamshell styled mobile phone is to be available on GSM and GPRS networks.
It is one of the new Palm based devices with ARM processor, in this case the Intel PXA262 ARM-compatible, running at 300 MHz. The device comes with 32 MB RAM and a MMC-card slot.
Another feature is the built-in VGA camera with flash.
This device might be just well fitted for some Java based services, like Vodafone Live!, since it now incorporates Java support. It also has e-mail and MMS clients, WAP 2.0 browser and SyncML capabilities.
According to the Brighthand website some stores in U.S will soon have this model available for order.
