Geekzone reaches 500,000 pages served

Geekzone started six months ago, as a personal space to share some information with other mobile and handheld users. After a few queries from other users we posted a couple of Bluetooth Guides, giving step-by-step instructions on how to connect a Pocket PC to a Bluetooth desktop or laptop and access a network from there.

After this more requests came and we put other guides together. More than 75,000 users have read these guides so far, and some of them have sent us e-mails giving feedback on how useful the guides were for them.

We also started some forums, slow at the beginning, but with a growing community now.

Let's not forget the promotions. During these five months we've arranged hardware and software to distribute to our readers, with prizes sent all over the world.

Our software shop, in association with Handango, allows us to place news about recent software releases and give the users access to downloads from our pages. We even have an on-going discount programme, where our registered users can have 15% discount when buying software from Handango.

Of course we also have news, reviews and more.

You can visit our statistics page to check the most read articles and most visited links. Feel free to read old news, and compare what has changed in six months. I can tell you that's a lot!

Exactly six months ago to the day Geekzone was up. It took our servers four months and half to serve the first 250,000 pages. The next 250,000 were served in only one and half months. Perhaps we can make the next 250,000 in a month or so ?

And if you have some news, want to contribute an article or review, or just want to contact us, use our contact page.
