Age of Empires - Pocket PC Edition
Age of Empires, the strategy game by Microsoft, is now ported to the Pocket PC. ZioSoft released the title, which is a pretty good port of this game to the small screen.

One thing you need to know about the game: you'll need memory! The download is a 25 MB file, but not all of this goes into your PocketPC. The memory usage is this:
  • Main game executable: 8.1 MB
  • Campaigns: 6.6 MB
  • Scenarios: 1.3 MB

You'll also need at least 10MB of free space to run the game.

The game is played in landscape mode. You can swap sides (good if you're left handed!). The music is good, but use the headphones! This version of the games has no on-line play, it's only you agains the computer. You can choose between the following:
  • Random Map
  • Campaign Death
  • Match Scenario
  • Saved Game

The only problem is getting used to the different handling of villagers and units. But after a little practice you'll feel at home.
