CBR (Computer Business Review) published their selection of 10 most influential companies in the mobile and wireless busines.
"Mobile devices cannot function without the hardware and software that they are built from, and they are impotent without a means of communicating with other systems.
With this in mind, it is necessary to strike a balance between influence over a particular segment of the mobile market and influence that transcends sectors. For example, IBM may have made the mobile-inspired 'pervasive computing' one of its strategic directions, but it is not currently a market leader in any one segment of the wireless market."
Their list includes Nokia, Microsoft, Vodafone, Intel and others.
