Digitimes reports about the FCC approval of a new mobile phone codename Chopin. The article says that a Motorola Taiwan executive made a mysterious comment on the company’s upcoming handset launch schedule, saying Motorola would roll out two “secret weapons” in the second half of the year.
Many people have speculated that one of the two secret weapons will be a Microsoft Windows Powered Smartphone made by Taiwan’s Chi Mei Communication Systems (CMCS).
The FCC approved a second CMCS model, a tri-band GPRS mobile phone called “Chopin”. Not much is known about this model other than it is a clamshell-type device with a built-in digital camera.
