Nokia opens the Series 60 Asia Challenge

Posted on 11-Sep-2003 07:41 | Filed under: News

Forum Nokia, along with key operators in five Asia Pacific countries, is providing an opportunity for developers to turn their ideas into exciting business opportunities in the Series 60 Asia Challenge.

The operators are:
  • Chung Hwa Telecom in Taiwan
  • Globe in the Philippines
  • MobileOne in Singapore
  • SmarTone in Hong Kong
  • TA Orange in Thailand

All five operators will review entries for the Series 60 Asia Challenge - you stand a chance to win in one or more country. Other operators in the Asia Pacific region may also join the Series 60 Asia Challenge.

Each country will have a winner in each category. The country category winners will receive a US$2000.00 cash prize, a Nokia 6600 and that country's participating operator will launch their application.

Category regional winners will be selected from among the country winners. The regional winners will receive a US$8000 cash prize, and a sponsored trip to the Mobile Application Summit on 27 and 28 November, a two day dedicated Forum Nokia event where operators in the Asia Pacific region meet Forum Nokia developers from around the globe.
