Rich and professional quality images can now be captured on a smartphone thanks to the launch of the 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020, available on the Telecom Smartphone Network.
Exclusive to Telecom, the Nokia Lumia 1020 boasts a 41-megapixel (7712 x 5360 pixels) camera sensor, optical image stabilisation and a high-resolution zoom that allows its user to capture images rich in detail and sharp in clarity.
Users of the Windows 8 smartphone can easily upload and share photos on social media thanks to dual capture, a built in camera feature. This feature takes two images simultaneously, one at a high resolution of 38-megapixels and one at 5-megapixels, the latter being ideal for upload to social media sites.
A 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor powers the new smartphone, which sports a high resolution 4.5 inch WXGA display (1280 x 768 pixels). A second, front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels is available for video calls and other apps. With 32GB of internal memory, the Nokia Lumia 1020 supports Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 is 4G ready and will be available to Telecom customers in black, white and yellow on a range of Telecom mobile plans. The handset is available for $ 1149 or $149 upfront on a 24-month Telecom Smartphone plan ($139 per month).
