New Zealand company I.T Link Limited has won Ericsson’s 2003 Frontier competition beating 5 other finalists from both sides of the Tasman.
I.T Link demonstrated its application SalesLink Mobile in front of top telecommunications decision makers at a Trans-Tasman industry event held in both Auckland and Sydney last week (16th September).
The application turns a Palm handheld device into a mobile business system, enabling salespeople to place orders in the field.
Sales teams can enter and print orders or invoices and on-the-job transactions can be sent wirelessly to the office, warehouse and accounting system via CDMA, GPRS, or any IP LAN connection. I.T Link Ltd will now attend a Global Industry event, as well as have access to Ericsson’s portfolio of technical, sales & marketing, and professional services to improve the performance of its solution further.
The other finalists of the Ericsson Frontier competition were; Australia: Intermoco Solutions Pty Ltd, Power Clinical Pty Limited, Surelabs. New Zealand: Datasquirt Limited, Hyperfactory Limited.
Lisa Tuffs Manager - Mobility Solutions Marketing for Ericsson says more than 120 entries were received for Frontier, twice as many as the previous year.
