Well, since this is a New Zealand based website, nothing better than publishing something from this company... The Livingtsone engine is a free software. You only pay for the maps you use and they are are available at Handango (bellow is the link for the Wellington streets map).

The impressive list of maps include:

* US Parks & Forests
* US maps by State (USGS quads)
* UK National Parks (USGS quads)
* UK Long Walks
* UKOS 1:50k maps
* UKOS 1:250k maps
* UKOS 1:1m maps
* UK A-Z street maps
* Switzerland SwissTopo 1:50k
* LINZ 1:50k maps
* Wises street maps

You can have multiple maps installed, and remove the ones not in use, but some additional or external memory is recommend. The Livingstone engine support the NAVMAN GPS Sleeve.

You can find streets and features by name, and even create your own pushpins, to mark the spot!
